VIC:Speed, drinking linked to male road deaths
A Victorian survey has found men are more likely than women to speed if they think
they can get away with it - and to rate the risk of accident from drink driving as low.
Transport Accident Commission boss JANET DORE says the research shows a serious change
of male attitudes in particular is needed to reduce the state's road toll.
More than 140 males have been killed on Victoria's roads this year, almost three times
the number of females.
