Fed: Canberra should fight for CHOGM Lundy
An ACT Labor Senator says the national capital will keep fighting for the chance to
host the 2001 Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting.
Senator KATE LUNDY says the conference - known as CHOGM - has been handed to Brisbane
for no good reason.
Prime Minister JOHN HOWARD announced on New Year's Eve that Canberra lacked the facilities
- particularly accommodation - to host the huge gathering in October …
